Miss. lawmakers drop bill to strengthen homes

Mississippi legislation that could promote stronger construction died Tuesday in committee. Some lawmakers say the information in the bill was not communicated effectively and believe that it eventually may be revived. The bill would have allowed homeowners to receive tax breaks for making their homes more resistant to storms.
