"Obama effect" can make lasting impression on education

While President Barack Obama might be showing today's youth that education is cool, he'll need to make a number of changes to the country's education system in order to bridge the achievement gap. There must be a focus on improving the achievement of African-American male students, an effort to boost literacy rates and a renewed interested in high-quality teaching.
