Blio may rival iPad as e-reader for language students

Blio -- a free e-reader program due out this month -- may rival Apple's iPad as an attractive option for students and schools. Blio can be used on any computer or portable device and has the ability to support the original full-color font, layout and graphics of any book as well as embedded multimedia, according to its creators. The program also features text-to-speech technology that is useful for language learners, who can follow along with the text with the program's read-aloud function.
