New York AG looks at other private equity-owned apartments

A legal backlash is forming against private equity companies that followed a strategy similar to that of the Stuyvesant Town transaction -- that is, companies that acquired rent-controlled or low-rent apartment buildings with plans to evict low-revenue renters. New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo has announced plans to sue private equity-backed Vantage Properties.
