Research looks at link between diabetes drugs, pancreatic cancer

A study in the American Journal of Gastroenterology showed that fewer women who were newly diagnosed with pancreatic cancer were on long-term metformin use compared with those who did not have cancer. However, researchers noted that more pancreatic cancer patients had a history of long-term insulin and sulfonylureas use than their cancer-free counterparts.
