Some European carriers finance pilot training

Europe will need 92,500 pilots in the next two decades, according to a forecast by Boeing, and some European carriers are helping students find financing for their training. British Airways is offering student pilots guarantees on bank loans to help secure funding for pilot training. Lufthansa sponsors training for some pilots, supplying them with interest-free loans of $77,000.
