Survey: Most Americans back Keystone XL project

Most Americans support efforts by Republicans to proceed with the construction of TransCanada's Keystone XL pipeline, according to a United Technologies-National Journal Congressional Connection survey. The project would generate thousands of jobs and curb the country's reliance on energy imports, many Republican lawmakers argue. The Obama administration rejected the project's permit in January, saying that Republicans had imposed a tight decision-making schedule.
