AAFP calls for policies to support primary care

The AAFP's testimony to the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee's subcommittee on primary care called for public and private sector policies that support primary care medicine and increase the number of family physicians. The AAFP said primary care physicians need a 20% increase in average income and that medical schools should support primary care and include family physicians in their training programs.
