Gevo could resume isobutanol production

Some investors are speculating that Colorado-based Gevo, a biofuel producer, may restart its production of isobutanol. The price of the company's stock surged 17% Tuesday, and then slipped 2.1% Wednesday, as some investors took their profits, according to Shawn Severson, an analyst at JMP Securities. Since the middle of September when Gevo announced it would stop isobutanol production, the company has seen its market value decline by 34%.
