Fla. proposal sets mandates tied to school technology funds

Proposed legislation expected to be introduced today in Florida would provide school districts with additional funds to upgrade classroom technology. The funds -- for new computers, other technology and training -- would be tied to certain goals established by the Florida Department of Education and require districts to produce annual technology plans, as well as show how they are spending the technology funds.
