Ohio resolution promotes use of ANSI green building standards over LEED

Ohio state senators held the first hearing on a measure that would urge the state government to use the American National Standards Institute building standards instead of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design standards. At the hearing, the American Chemistry Council noted that the most recent LEED recommendations lack input from chemical safety experts. Allen Blakey of the Vinyl Institute pointed to "discriminatory and disparaging treatment of vinyl in LEED credits."
