Recalling resistance to Coppola's business decisions

When Francis Ford Coppola removed his name and items related to his movies from the Niebaum-Coppola winery -- now named Inglenook -- there was great resistance, said Francis Ford Coppola Presents' Tracy Geldert. The move was to rid the winery's 350,000 annual visitors of "people who don't care about wine" because 70% of visitors weren't participating in tastings. This was just one example of Coppola's fearless take on business, and like all true innovation, skepticism and criticism are to be expected, Geldert said.
