Report: Breakfast after the bell helps boost participation

More students are taking part in school breakfast programs, according to the School Breakfast Scorecard, recently published by the Food Research and Action Center. Madeleine Levin, senior policy analyst with FRAC, says the study revealed schools that serve breakfast after the school day begins have some of the highest numbers, with participation between 70% and 80%, while others serving breakfast in the cafeteria before school report participation rates around 30%.
