Sports, broadband punch up BT in Q3

BT's revenue grew 2% in the company's third quarter, a greater gain than analysts had expected, as the U.K. telecom attracted half a million new subscribers to its BT Sport offering and 339,000 for its fiber-based broadband network, 38% more than in the year-earlier period. The majority of the BT Openreach broadband customer gains came from BT Retail, rather than Internet service provider rivals.
