With reports of identity theft on the rise, Visa USA is using its Super Bowl ad to allay consumer concerns with using check cards as a substitute for cash. Visa's ad, produced by Omnicom Group's BBDO, features comic book characters including Spiderman and Captain American explaining to a mugging victim Visa's policy against holding customers responsible for fraudulent charges run up on a stolen debit card.
