D.C. black church shaken by outing of 100 members

Some 100 members of one of the largest black Baptist churches in Washington, D.C., reportedly have been outed to their anti-gay pastor by a female member of the choir. The 7,000-member Greater Mount Calvary Holy Church is led by Bishop Alfred Owens Jr., who used a gay slur in an April 2006 Palm Sunday sermon. Neither Owens nor an associate pastor commented for this article.
