Coupon dispute to cost News Corp. $500M

News Corp. division News America Marketing, which sells in-store advertising displays and publishes coupons for distribution in newspapers, will settle a federal lawsuit with rival Valassis for $500 million. The federal lawsuit accused News Corp. of anti-competitive business practices. The settlement includes a $300 million award that Valassis won in a similar suit tried against News Corp. in Michigan.
