Oyster shortage makes them all the more prized

Oysters native to Britain are in danger, and many are blaming a tiny U.S. snail called the tingle, which may have arrived aboard an oyster shipped from America in the 1920s. In Victorian times, oysters were considered food for poor people, but now they are becoming delicacies on a par with truffles.
