Guide your sales and marketing teams to a state of collaboration

Sales and marketing don't always see eye to eye, so company leaders have to get the two departments to communicate regularly with each other, writes Alison Savery. Have sales leaders give feedback to the marketing team, and have marketers join representatives on sales calls. Also, create an agreement between the two parties that outlines their responsibilities, she advises.
