Food industry considers labeling for genetically modified products

Major U.S. grocers and food manufacturers met last month to discuss establishing a national labeling program for foods that contain genetically modified ingredients. The FDA is considering the approval of genetically modified salmon and the U.S. Agriculture Department is looking at genetically engineered apples.
