Helicopter rescue firm adds staff in Ontario

After hundreds of complaints from pilots and paramedics and a Toronto Star investigation in December 2011, the air ambulance service ORNGE announced that a third shift of medics will be permanently stationed at the company's Thunder Bay, Ontario, base. "The new paramedic shift will allow us to improve our ability to respond on scene with our helicopter, while continuing to meet the need for long-distance transports with our airplanes," said the company's boss, Dr. Andrew McCallum.
