The Saladworks franchise is able to avoid some of the price increases for food that can be caused by extreme weather conditions by forging contracts with growers, according to Jena Henderson, the company's vice president of brand services. Still, weather events can sometimes affect food prices. In these situations, "we just need to be sure that our franchisees and our stores are always careful of their bottom line by managing the pricing that they charge the customers," she said.
