Former ad execs accused of coercing underlings

In opening arguments, Assistant U.S. Attorney Kim Berger accused former senior Ogilvy & Mather executives Thomas Early and Shona Seifert with asking "scores of employees" to alter "hundreds of time sheets" to increase revenue for the agency's work for the U.S. Office of National Drug Control Policy. The defense countered by arguing that the two executives' underlings simply lacked experience in complying with complex federal regulations. Early and Seifert have pled not guilty to the charges.
