Report: Many W. Europeans would consider cutting the cord

About 20% of mobile phone users who still have landlines in Western Europe would consider dropping their landline service altogether, according to a report by Strategy Analytics. Currently, 19% of households in the region already have gone mobile-only, portending a promising trend for wireless carriers. The data also point to the strong revenue potential of fixed-mobile convergence, the research firm said.
