Verizon Wireless wins injunction against SMS spammer

Verizon Wireless said a New Jersey court granted a permanent injunction to stop Florida-based Passport Holidays from sending unsolicited text messages to the carrier's subscribers. As part of its penalty, Passport must pay $10,000 in damages, a payment Verizon said it will donate to charity.
