Global warming brings stronger hurricanes, panel says

Global warming has "more likely than not " increased the strength of hurricanes, according to members of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. The rising number of stronger storms varies throughout the world. However, the storms that hit the Americas are caused by global warming, the experts said. The report departs from statements by the World Meteorological Organization in 2006, which could not link stronger storms to global warming.
