Florida official hopes NBCT incentives encourage more to apply

The executive director of human resources in a Florida school district says she hopes Gov. Charlie Crist's decision to preserve money for National Board Certified Teacher bonuses and application fees will encourage more teachers to apply for the certification. "We're advocates for any teachers that continue their education or professional development," Karen Wells said. "There's not a teacher that I've talked to who hasn't said they are better teachers now."
