Health reform moves to state level as federal plan stalls

Democratic and Republican state lawmakers have introduced separate bills on expanding health care coverage in their jurisdictions amid worries that national health care reform will not come through. Health groups including the American Medical Association and America's Health Insurance Plans also are taking action to support the efforts of state legislatures to improve the quality of and access to health insurance.
