Pakistan pledges support, training for Afghanistan

Pakistan's army chief said it sought a stable Afghanistan and pledged to support the U.S. in training Afghan troops. In the face of sustained insurgent violence, Gen. Ashfaq Kiyani emphasized Pakistan's commitments to building Afghanistan and downplayed U.S. criticism that Pakistan must do more to combat terrorists operating from within its sovereign borders.
