Philadelphia abstinence-only program helps delay sex

A study of black students ages 10 to 15 in Philadelphia found those who took abstinence-only sex education classes were 33% less likely than a control group to have had sex two years later. Researchers said one-third of the abstinence-only group reported ever having sexual intercourse, compared with nearly half of a control group that received only general health information.
