Study: Analgesic drugs help relieve pain in horses during castration

Researchers found that combining a local analgesic with systemic pain medications helped alleviate pain in young horses during castration. It is important for veterinarians and horse owners to "pay sufficient attention to the management of the pain and inflammation after castration," one of the researchers said.
