Congress includes mandate for ADS-B "in" as part of FAA bill

Congress will require the Federal Aviation Administration to mandate automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast "in" equipment for some aircraft by 2020. The provision is part of the FAA reauthorization bill, and requires ADS-B "in" as part of a plan for "for surveillance and active air traffic control in specific regions of the U.S. with the most congested airspace."
