Jump rope, heart-healthy lessons are part of AHA fundraiser

Students in a New Jersey school district learned that jumping rope is not only fun but healthy, too, when they participated in the America Heart Association's Jump Rope for Heart event. The program, a fundraiser intended to raise awareness about health and fitness, includes a focus on the function and health of the human heart. Leading up to the event, students learned several ways to jump rope with help from a physical-education teacher.
