Shell seeks to strengthen earnings from U.S. gas assets

Royal Dutch Shell is looking into several ways to strengthen its U.S. natural gas profits amid weak prices for the commodity. The measures include liquefied natural gas exports and gas-to-liquids technology, said Simon Henry, Shell's chief financial officer. The company is also studying purchasing sites for the necessary facilities, Henry said, but it needs to be "selective."
