Keystone XL gets a boost from State Dept.'s environmental report

The State Department's environmental analysis of the Keystone XL proposal found that the pipeline will not have significant effects on the environment or the rate of oil sands extraction from Canada. Other agencies are expected to weigh in before President Barack Obama decides on the project. "This final review puts to rest any credible concerns about the pipeline's potential negative impact on the environment," said Jack Gerard, president of the American Petroleum Institute.
