Students ask legislators to approve official Wash. state waterfall

Five Washtucna Elementary School students recently visited Olympia, Wash., to lobby the state Legislature to designate Palouse Falls as the state's official waterfall. The students testified before a panel of legislators about the size, location and qualities of the falls, and after the hearing, the panel sent the bill to the full House of Representatives, the first step toward making the designation official.
