St. Paul schools connect with Hmong community

In St. Paul, Minn., where almost one-third of the city's 45,000 students are Hmong, teachers weave lessons about the Southeast Asian culture into the K-3 social studies curriculum. Educators believe including instruction on Hmong traditions will help involve more Hmong parents in the schools and enhance all students' cultural literacy.
