Sacramento EPA building receives first high-rise certification from Green Building Council

Sacramento's Joe Serna Jr.-Cal/EPA Headquarters Building has become the nation's first high-rise to receive platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design -- Existing Building category. The 25-story, 950,000-square-foot building has also won a variety of other awards for its design and construction using sustainable, but cost-competitive technologies.
