Workers' torch blamed for fire at Monte Carlo casino

Flying molten metal from a hand-held cutting torch is being blamed for causing the fire at the Monte Carlo casino-resort in Las Vegas last week. Workers who did not have proper permits were cutting corrugated steel to set up window-washing equipment and failed to use appropriate mats to protect the roof, officials said.
