Will MIDs make people hang up on their cell phone companies?

Nearly half of those surveyed by ABI Research said they would give up their cell phones for a Mobile Internet Device with voice capabilities. "This is going to become a question for MID vendors and consumers alike," said ABI's Philip Solis. "There will be little difference between a smartphone such as the Palm Pre, which uses an OMAP 3 processor, and a MID with cellular voice, except for screen size."
