Lateral moves of partners at top law firms jumped 10.6% in 2009

Lateral moves of partners among the country's top 200 law firms increased 10.6% to 2,775 in 2009, according to an analysis by the American Lawyer. The record-high number of such moves is being attributed to the economic recession.
