RFS2 will shape future renewable-fuels policy, RFA says

The Environmental Protection Agency's updated renewable fuels standard may be announced as early as today, according to Minnesota Rep. Collin Peterson, chairman of the House Agriculture Committee. The standard will be an important determining factor in federal and congressional policies on alternative fuels going forward, said Samantha Slater of the Renewable Fuels Association. Future investments in cellulosic ethanol and other next-generation biofuels hinge on a positive ruling, Slater added.
