KLM gets back into the liquor and tobacco business

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines says consumer demand has triggered its decision to resume the in-flight sale of duty-free cigarettes and liquor. The items will be available for purchase only on intercontinental routes. "By buying alcohol and cigarettes on board, passengers no longer have to carry heavy bags around the airport," said Paul Elich, KLM executive vice president of in-flight services.
