NASA to fund 7 physics research proposals for Cold Atom Lab

Seven physics research proposals for NASA's Cold Atom Laboratory will receive funding from the space agency to the tune of about $12.7 million over four to five years. The microgravity laboratory will set off for the International Space Station in 2016 to study ultra-cold quantum gases. NASA officials say development of the selected experiments will begin right away.
