New nurses find tighter job market, survey shows

A survey of newly licensed registered nurses who completed studies in 2010 to 2011 shows they had a little more difficulty finding jobs, possibly because of the recession. Study author Christine Kovner, a registered nurse and professor at the College of Nursing at New York University, said that even though finding a nursing job may be more difficult, "lots and lots of jobs" are available in the field offering opportunities for growth, especially compared with other professions.
