NPs saw salary gains in 2013, survey data show

Survey data from 2,889 nurse practitioners showed that average salaries for full-time NPs increased by more than $5,000 in 2013, while average hourly wages increased by $2.92. The 2013 National Salary Survey of NPs & PAs also found that the average number of years in practice decreased for NPs from 9.3 in 2012 to 8.9 in 2013, reflecting more new NPs entering the profession.
