"Idol" contestant brings new awareness to genetic disorder

"American Idol" contestant Angela Martin has spotlighted Rett syndrome, a genetic disorder that stalled her 8-year-old daughter's developmental progress as a toddler and then reversed her earlier progress. The new attention that the relatively rare disorder is receiving is exciting other parents and advocates.
