Care inconsistent across trauma centers, study finds

A study found that mortality rates vary across similarly designated trauma centers, which researches said could indicate variations in the quality of care and should be explored. The researchers also said the designation process for trauma centers may need to be improved to capture the factors associated with differences in outcome.
