Florida firm will help Dominican Republic build solar plant

The Dominican Republic has selected Sunovia Energy Technologies of Florida to help build a $200 million solar energy plant. Construction on the project east of Santo Domingo is expected to start in September. The Dominican Republic experienced extensive blackouts last year, which led to massive protests in the Caribbean country.
