Treatment time not only factor in trauma survival rates:

A study found that average time to brain imaging and surgery did not significantly differ between designated trauma and other hospitals, even though trauma facilities had better mortality rates. Researchers said some hospitals not deemed trauma care facilities can achieve short times to assessment and treatment but may be missing other factors found at trauma centers.
